APDM Opal Wearable Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) APDM’s Opals are intertial measurement units that can be used to track joint positions. The sensors are low profile and can be worn under thick clothing and other equipment. They can be used to measure:
· Several different gait parameters
· Limb velocity during motion
· Limb angles during motion
· Signs of Neuromuscular disorders (e.g. postural sway, sit to stand time, turn
ability)
Equipment for APDM Opal System Includes:
· 15 IMU
· 3 Charging Docks
· Opal Straps
· Motion Studio software

Biopac Electromyography (EMG) The BioPac EMG are wireless electromyography sensors which displays, records, and analyzes electrical activity from large and small muscle groups. The software “AcqKnowledge” can be used to view real time the data recorded from the sensors. The software allows for manual markers placements as well as a sync function to other devices. Furthermore, this software can also be used for data analysis and provides filter options for both real-time and post acquisition.
Equipment for the BioPac EMG include
· BioPac Modules (2 sets of 16) and Tower (2 sets of 8)
· Disposable Electrode Leads
· Self-adhesive wrap

Cosmed K5 Metabolic Measurement System The Cosmed K5 Metabolic Measurement System is a device that measures metabolic parameters (VO2, VCO2, VE, Rf, etc.) in a laboratory or field setting. This is a touch screen single body device with a VO2 mask and harness attachments. The software “COSMED ONMIA” can be used for data analysis (slice, exporting data, and figure creation) as well as wireless data collection via Bluetooth.
The COSMED K5 has all the features of a metabolic cart with the ability to be used portably. It can provide information about a participant’s
· Energy requirements during rest and activity
· Energy Expenditure
· Ratios of substrates used during (e.g. respiratory exchange ratio)
· Lung volumes & Respiratory Frequency

Equivital Heart Rate and Skin Temperature The equivital life monitor vest is able to record heart rate, breathing rate, skin temperature, general activity, general body position, and waveform ECG.
Data collected from the life monitor vest is initiated through a tablet. Once the data collection is started, it will record to the vest. However, data can be streamed online. Streamed data can have real time markers added to it and core temperature can be estimated.

Motek M-Gait Instrumented Treadmill The Motek M-Gait instrumented treadmill includes a two belt treadmill and an overhead harness for safety. The treadmill can measure ground reaction forces, center of pressure, and spatio-temporal parameters, and the treadmill sensors can be integrated with other motion capture systems.
The left and right belt can be controlled independently. This allows the treadmill to mimic tripping or slipping. The body weight support prevents any sort of risk during the mimicked tripping or slipping. Additionally, The whole base of the treadmill can move dynamically the pitch and sway.
