Bruker & Spectrospin Avance 500
The 500 MHz NMR is located in Olney Science Center G-8. Training Estimates: 2 Hours for Proton and 13C NMR. Additional training is required for other experiments. 1. The Bruker Avance DRX 500 MHz NMR features a 5mm 500 MHz magnet equipped with an Inverse Probe. 2. It can observe 1H and 13C in solution. 3. TOPSPIN 2.1 software is used for data acquisition and processing, as well as MNova software that can be used for processing. 4. It can perform Variable Temperature Experiments from 223K to 353K. 5. This instrument is best used for 1H and 13C characterization, C13DEPT, Homonuclear Decoupling, 2D (COSY, HSQC,HMBC, etc.), Water Suppression, T1 relaxation, and VT experiments. 6. Additional training is available for 2D. VT experiments, and other experiments. 7. Users are expected to supply their own 5 mm NMR tubes and deuterated solvents.

The 200 MHz NMR is located in Olney Science Center G-12. Training Estimates: 2 hours for 1H and 13C NMR. 1. The Bruker DPX Avance 200 MHx NMR contains a 5mm QNP 1H/13C/19F/31P Probe. 2. It can observe 1H, 13C, 19F, and 31P in solution. 3. It uses XWIN NMR software for data acquisition and analysis, as well as MNova for data analysis. 4. This instrument is best used for 1H, 13C, 19F, 31P NMR experiments. 5. Additional training is required for 31P and 19F NMR experiments. 6. Users are expected to supply their own 5 mm NMR tubes and deuterated solvents.
